The temperature of the water is key to brewing delicious Japanese green tea. A Yuzamashi is a traditional Japanese tea vessel used to cool boiling water to the ideal temperature. Simply transferring boiling water into the Yuzamashi lowers the temperature by approximately 10°C (18°F), making it easy to adjust the water temperature for different types of tea.

This Tokoname-yaki Yuzamashi features a natural ash glaze and a charming rounded shape that fits comfortably in your hand. Each piece is carefully handmade, giving it its own unique character and appearance.

Not only is it perfect for use as a Yuzamashi, but its convenient handle also makes it easy to use when preparing matcha, making it a versatile addition to your tea collection.
